Bears o'plenty

Might start looking into the baiting thing. The area around me is so thick, it’s almost impossible to spot and stalk them without dumb luck. The berries were mostly gone by the time the season opened this year, and it’s been very difficult for me to find consistent sign now that the season is here.

I’ve got a few very secluded spots on public that seem like good spots to throw a barrel. Your post has inspired me to look into it more seriously.

Congrats. I used to bait bears with meat scraps and fryer grease. When I skinned them out, that's exactly what they smelled like. I baited a bear last year with Apples, molasses, and sweet feed. I skinned it out and the darn thing smelled like a carmeled apple.
