Bears must be coming out

On one of my walks yesterday, I found a fresh set of tracks, probably about the size of my hand

Not a big guy, but it's a sign their starting to crawl out of their holes...

Elkchaser, you on the east side of the state or west side? reason I ask is that I'm going for bear in idaho and like to hear that they will be out roaming when I get there.

Pretty much on the West side

Where in Idaho you going?

I'll be running the hills pretty quick in search of them

I'll try to keep you up to date on their movements

I would assume that they will be out in gangbusters wherever your hunting at

Elkchaser, best I can do is say that I go thru missoula and then down lolo pass to kamiah. then we head into the mountains from there. think the closest area is the pierce area. we stay at the weitas creek ranger station with this outfitter. know we crossed 9 feet of snow on the way in last year. but when we got to the ranger station it was beautiful temp wise. upper 60's-lower 70's the whole week. thanks for keeping me updated.
