Was playing around in the Beartooths today , cruising around with the wife and come across this young bear about 20 yards off the road is this a juvenile grizzly or a small black bear?
A Bear expert I am not , it was chocolate brown

After the bear encounter this seemed like the appropriate place for dinner

It’s sad there officially gonna close it down sometime this fall , it’s been for sale and no one’s buying, gonna try a make a few more trips out before they turn the lights off
Kinda makes you wonder about future of the Montana iconic watering holes that seem to be changing recently: Dirty Shame in Yaak, Jersey Lilly in Ingomar, Stacie's Old Faithful in Gallatin Gateway, and now the Grizzly Bar in Roscoe. Those have been some great spots with good food and local "color" of entertaining interest.

Anyhow that young ursine critter sure looks like a black bear.

First pic was tricky but the broadside photo shows it’s a black bear.
Yeah, he was literally right next to the road in tall grass and all I could see was its back. He was eating veg and didn’t care about me and then when I stopped and backed up someone else driving down the road realized what I saw and they stopped, and then he got uncomfortable and started walking away from me and then I started talking to it to try to get him to look at me and that’s when he turned broadside.

Enough about the bear. You should definitely invest in this once in a life opportunity.

I’m already in debt up to my ass with the new house , no thank you ! buying a seasonal bar and restaurant in a very remote location and figuring out how to pay your employees and keep it open during the winter to pay the rent so to speak , unless you had the money you could just buy it out right , I get why no one‘s taking the jump

It’ll be fun they say! Just think, you’d help by preserving some great history!
