Bear Identification

Can you guys help me identify this one? I think it is a young boar. Had this one within 20 yards of me.

At first I thought it may be a sow because the ankles/ legs were not thick. But after looking at the pics I changed my mind. Smaller butt, not that rounder child bearing butt. Larger head, not as rounded forehead/nose. Fairly thick neck.

What say you and what would you use for identifiers? Thank you. Pete

P.s. this would have been my first bear but it seemed young to me. That took some will power

Makes sense. Probably why it wasn't nervous and looked at us curiously.

That looks like you were very close.
Never seen a bear in the wild.
Last bear l saw was on Tv.And at the Houston zoo.
