Looks like I might go archery bear hunting next weekend.
I've never killed a bear, any advise on what to do after I get on down ( if I get one )

If I get lucky, I'll likly be about one mile in from the truck.
Do I just gut it, skin it, bone it out and pack out the meat & hide ? Just like a deer.

I'm going deer hunting, and a few people I know told me they saw several big bears in the area while camping, so I got a bear tag.

Do they gut the same as a deer ?

I'll post a picture of one tomorrow (A diagram.) I would Skin it.

Cut it up the Belly like a deer/elk. Take the YUCK YUCK out like any other Critter. If you skin it run down the Back of the Legs and up to the Paw. Cut it off at the PAw joint. Don't try to take it out if ya never done that before. Also, It makes a difference if You're going to mount it or what ?!?!If you do a 1/2 or 1/4 body You'll want to run the Blade down the BAck and not the Belly.. BUT a rug is more commen.

Sorry for the Responce Delay bud !!! I'm burried before MY hunting too. HOPE the hunt goes/went well
