I was talking with Moosie today and he recommended I post this question on here.
I'm running into the same problem many bear baiters have with the big ones only coming in at night. I've read lots of posts and articles about suggestions to regulate feeding times, but the idea I want to try out this year is an alarm clock that only kicks on during the middle of the night, preferably with talk radio
Has anyone had any success with a specific model of alarm clock that you can program to go off for say 7-8 hours at a time and then shut off. Or has anyone had any luck with reprogramming a battery operated alarm clock/radio to extend the alarm that typically shuts off after one hour. I realize that if the bear really wants the bait they will come in regardless, but I'd like to try this tactic. I typically only hunt on day trips so I won't have the time to go in every day to turn the alarm on and then off each night.
