My best friend drew this year. He and another buddy and I have been trying for seven years without success.
I helped another friend last year in another unit. The color and terrain were good for glassing and you could glass an entire basin in about a minute and find a few groups of animals, similar to my hunt in Colorado. The unit we hunted this year was covered in rocks the same shade of white as the animals. Finding them was tough. We averaged an animal for every ten miles hiked and glassed. We only saw two together one time (nanny and kid). The other nine were alone. My friend spent 13 days on the mountain total. I was there for seven.
I love goat hunting...despite really hating heights and being on exposed faces and ridges.
