Today I was reminded that most of our problems are developed by making ill advised or really stupid decisions. After putting a load of wood on my porch, I noticed my cats starring intently at the main log support for my porch. I watched for a while not seeing anything until the shape triggered my memory and I realized that the object of their attention was in fact a flying squirrel. Now would have been the time for him to scamper away from the house and find a handy tree but instead he crawled into a hole in the eves closely followed by the cat doing his job.

Half of the things we do seem to follow a similar path. Remember to think things through before you dive into it.

The only bad mistake is one you don’t learn from! I’m a big fan of experiential learning. It’s the only way that learning really takes root.
