This mule deer has been visiting our mineral block, 15 yards behind our house, all spring and summer. He has all sorts of trash on his rack. Still in velvet and not done growing. It’s my wish that he lives to spread his genes and produce some progeny here in NW Montana. We live on the Salish/Kootenie reservation and I am not a tribal member and cannot legally take him even during legal season. I would NOT break the rules even for this buck. I will NOT poach!
Montana mule deer populations are stressed and this buck could go a long way to produce some mule deer youngsters. Thought all would enjoy looking at him. MTG
