A friend who is a doctor posted on Facebook yesterday morning pictures from his arrival at work. Pretty awesome gesture from local police officers, the Sherriffs department and other first responders.

Maybe I should make a large campaign donation to our Sheriff so I can get a concealed carry.

This is good to see - for two reasons. 1. Those medical workers who are putting in long days knowingly walking into the lions den everyday absolutely deserve recognition for their selflessness and bravery. 2. It showcases that Santa Clara Co isn't such a bad place because what appears to be a good majority of its road patrol shift was not tied up on a run and able to make this event all at the same time. If that was a busy jurisdiction, you wouldnt be able to make something like that happen. The fact that they could says something about how well things are going there.

Touching gesture, but yeah...could have distanced better.

Literally just read an email regarding LEOs and Covid-19....

According to the National Fraternal Order of Police, 21 law enforcement officers have died from the novel Coronavirus in the United States. This is sobering considering that, according to Officer Down Memorial Page, from January 1st to date, 37 law enforcement officers have died in the line of duty from other causes, such as gunfire and traffic accidents.

Be safe out there guys.
