Audiobooks/Podcasts for Long Drive

Great suggestions here, the audio library is full.

To add my contribution, The “Countdown” books by Chris Wallace are good listens

I really enjoy the tales of the Old West podcast. Kind of a history guy. A Terrible Glory is a good read. It's about the battle of the little bighorn

I downloaded "Unstoppable From underdog to undefeated" and am looking foward to listening to that on my upcoming trip to WY with my son. The book is about Anthony Robles, the national champion wrestler from ASU that was born with only 1 leg. Im an IA wrestling fan and ever since I watched him destroy Matt McDonugh from the Hawks in the Finals I have been a fan of Robles. I myself have troubles with calf problems and he has been an inspiration for me. I tell myself, if this guy can win a national championship with 1 leg then I can get through this.

Pocast Deer Hunter, meateater love the trivia games, Middle of Somewhere for the humor, The Jorvik Viking Thing

Been listening to a lot of Bernard Cornwell lately. Really like his Richard Sharpe series, as well the War Lord Chronicles.

Minds of madness
Serial killers
Cold cases.
Between 35 and 50 minutes per episode.
Maybe I have a short attention span.

Recollecting several solo 8-10 hr one way elk trips over the years I remember John LeCarre being a good listen...well developed characters, plot twists, complex circumstances smartly explained, focus required and rewarded...sadly, I've expended his catalogue.

My wife and I drove from Montana to Alaska and back in September. We listened to James Michener's historical novel Alaska. 55 hours of listening lol. We liked it. I had previously read his book Hawaii while traveling to the islands. I find that the historic perspective in these veeeerrrry lengthy books adds a lot to the travel experience. Not for everybody I'm sure but I'm looking forward to another one.

Two very different books but "Lost City of the Monkey Gods" and "Nine Years Among the Indians" are both really high on my list

History daily is a good one for a quick daily history lesson. They’re short though

I mostly listen to true crime, sports and pop culture podcasts
