Finally Mayweather vs Pacquio. Although I think this fight id coming about 5 years to late.
Mayweather has been ducking this fight til now because he thinks Pacquio is past his prime
and has made every excuse he could think of not to fight.
I do think Pacquio is a little past his prime but I hope he beats the **** out of that loudmouth Mayweather who usually just runs around the ring the whole fight.

Gr8bawana,

My thoughts echo your post. Hope Pacquio destroys the guy, but age may be a factor.

Just hope for a good fight; ie Ali-Frazier (any) and Foreman-Ali!

Agree with what has been written above. Though I think Paquio is gonna get beat.

I think boxing fans should enjoy this. My guess is this is the last great fight, in terms of audience and hype, that boxing will ever have. The only stars that remain are those from a decade ago. The best and most exciting talent in fighting sports now go to MMA.

Paquio/Mayweather will be boxing' s death rattle.

Well I like to be different, Mayweather will take him out in 8 rounds or less.
If Pacquio wasn't doing Drugs and would have taken a drug test like suggested, the fight could of happened years ago.
there is only one reason that you refuse a Drug test. IMO

Pacquio agreed to ANY kind of drug test Mayweather wanted but Mayweather was just plain afraid to take a fight against someone he didn't think he had a good chance of beating.

I wouldn't pay a nickle knowing mayweather would get some of it. He's a piece of crap who dodged this fight as long as he could, He wants to retire undefeated and the only reason this fight is finally going to happen is because he's hoping Paquio is past his prime.

Pacquio past his prime? Mayweather is two years older. Both past in my estimation. mtmuley

All week at the gym some channel has been replaying tons of Paquio fights. Showtime I think.

Tonight's fight should be exciting, but if Paquio is gonna win, he's gonna have to be super aggressive, which is dangerous. Watching replays of Floyd's fights it's pretty clear that Mayweather is nearly perfect.

Unfortunately I won't see it live. Anybody paying to see this one?

I was kinda interested if Maywhatever would fight. But Pac is way along now.
I did some boxing and used to like real fighters like Ali ,Fraizer,sugeraray...

What I have seen on TV the last 10 yrs is worse than anything on the old wrestling shows, along with so called cage fighting.
Can you say Barnum and Gladiator phoney hype.....

None of these clowns would last a warm up round with a real boxer,IMHO or real street fighter for that matter.
lol

I have to disagree about "cage" fighting.

MMA is the future of combat sports. Due to the gloves and rules, the fact is boxing doesn't carry over into real fighting very well.it's a lot less dynamic and in my opinion, a lot less exciting.

We have 20 years now of high-level boxers and kick boxers getting choked unconscious by people with little to no standup fighting experience.

Of course boxing will help in a fight, but fighters also have to know how to defend takedowns and submissions on the ground. The beautiful five punch combinations of boxing don't work in a real fight very well.

I have no doubt that a modern high-level 170 pound MMA fighter would take Muhammad Ali in his prime and choke him unconscious in less than a minute.

Nameless, I gotta say, these MMA guys wouldn't last a minute in a real, knock down no rules brawl. The kind in a gravel parking lot. mtmuley
