Took two days of hunting this year to get my buck. That's about a half day more than average. Shot it about five miles from where my vehicle was parked. I probably put in 15 miles hiking yesterday. At least. Yesterday saw more than twenty deer but no shooters. Passed on a 2x1 three times. My handicapped brother shot that guy first light this morning. Today I only saw that one, the one I shot and another big buck (which earlier walked by my brother parked in the Jimmy ... but he was already tagged out). I used 165 Partitions out of the old WWII 30-06 Springfield. One shot at about 230 yards from sitting position in a stiff wind.
