T Bone, I would agree with both points you make, except that in either case if you have children that are in day care, school (or both) then working weekends might not be a good option.

My wife works every other weekend in the health care industry. Was tough getting used to at first but now she enjoys the time off during the week. We also enjoy her weekends off more than usual.
