I drove up that side of Copan last year when I was up there. Looked like a pretty good area. Hunted for a couple hours right off the east side of the lake off of highway 69 on my way home. Caught a glimpse of a couple deer but couldn't tell what they were through the trees.

I wish OK had larger areas of public land. You can't get away from hunters. Where I hunted last year was as far from the nearest parking area I could get. About 2 miles. I killed a deer in there on Thursday evening (Thanksgiving) and never saw another hunter. Sat in the same spot Saturday evening and hand 2 hunters walk up on us. They sat down about 30 yards either side of us and started hunting the same draw we were. Got up to move and saw 2-3 more on the same 200 yard stretch.
