Been seeing all the news about flooding across the country, hope no one on here is in danger or losing homes/property. Out here we have had rain for several days but it takes alot to flood the Snake. Went up to the top of the hill this am to see how it looks around here and it looks pretty wet. Last pic is where the Henrys Fork ( coming in from left) and South Fork of the Snake River meet up.

In Central and Eastern MT we are on about 36 hours straight fairly heavy rain.... some interesting numbers out there right now.

The Musselshell River, at "Mosby" which is getting into the famed "Breaks" is 4 feet over flood stage, running over 6000 cfs while the mean for this time of year is about 400 cfs!! Whats crazy is, about 80 miles upstream near roundup the river is 5 feet BELOW flood stage! Getting some MAJOR runoff between Roundup and Mosby and there are NO major tributaries to that section of river!

The Tongue and Powder Rivers have, in less than 24 hours, increased their flows exponentially, from about 400 cfs to between 4 and 5 thousand cfs! Impressive event... all this water will eventually make its way down the Yellowstone to the Missouri and on to the Mississippi in time to add to the issues down there! (not much of an addition though, as they say the Mississippi is running over 2 millions CFS down "south".... WOW.
