Just wondering if anybody has been hunting around Green River Lakes in Wyoming.

I have not been back there in 20 years, but that area was once favorite place in the country.

Moose, but that was like 8 years ago
Saw a thumper of a muley, and there were pronghorn moving through, mostly down low. I guess they came from the JH area?

Lots of people hunting elk. Doesn’t seem like it produces really big big bulls despite the LQ status.

It is a great area to be in. I guess it’s far enough off the beaten path, nobody goes there on accident.

I’d like to be the campground attendant when I retire!

Thanks for your response. I first began going there about 1981. Really began hunting there about 85 when i moved to Wyoming. Hunted there almost every year from 85-2014 for elk, deer and antelope.

The grizzlies really got thick during that period. Did a lot of canoe hunting middle to upper part of the valley.

I bought some acreage an hour south, planned on building there but ran out of young years. Am close to 80 now. Always thought it one of the most spectacular places on earth.

Did you get your moose?
