Any South East Montana guys ?

I didnt get drawn for ND turkey this year, so this will be the first year in many that I havent been able to hunt spring turkey ! I think not being able to buy an otc tag is the worst thing about the area. So to fill my passion, I have looked into Montana, but dont know a whole lot about the areas. Is there any one on here that lives in that area of the state that can share any information about how much state land there is, or private land that allows turkey hunting. Thanks !!

There is plenty of public ground, but finding birds is the hard part. They have been hit pretty hard over the last few years so it can be very difficult at times. As far as private land, I'm not to sure on a lot of it outfitted, so it can be tough as well. Your best best is to stick to the river bottoms as they still hold some birds.

Thank you sir. I was able to get 2 Nd. tags, so I think I will stay local this year.
