Any hockey fans out there?

Blackhawks have been the victim on a lot of bad calls, so I'm hoping some start balancing out in their favor. (Wild are near the top in penalty Diff, and Blackhawks are near the bottom, so YMMV) I watch a lot of hockey and their referees have sucked. But I agree, I don't want everything reviewed. I also don't want to watch a Kraken game where the style of play is holding, grabbing, and interference-lite on every shift and nothing is called, or a game with the Penguins where eveything is called. I'm not sure what the answer is, but fans don't pay to see referees decide games.

Only second time I have seen the Wild. That team meeting must have been good because they really turned things around. Young guys look like they have taken the next step. They probably should have lost last nights game, but found a way. I'm not sure what they need to add (other than a couple of guys getting healthy) and it is not clear who is available or if Wild would pay the price. Kraken also probably looking to add a skilled player. With the front-loaded schedule because of Olympics, we should be seeing moves in December and early Jan. I just don't have any guess on what could happen. Hopefully Avs cool off a little to make it interesting.
You have no idea how worried I was after the wild start this year. Still have a hole to dig out of, but I was about to call it a throw away season then they finally figured it out.

I think it has a lot to do with Wallsteed in the net. He's been amazing after Gus was less than stellar at the start

But agreed on reffing. Plus once it moves to playoff hockey the refs call a totally different game as well, so just cause you can play well in regular season doesn't mean you're built for how the game changes after the regular season has ended

The Wild are extremely disciplined. It certainly is part of their strengths right along with being physical. They for awhile haven't had a lot of skill depth thru lines 2 and 3 and as a result they make up for it by playing physical and smart. It is very noticeable when you watch them play. You don't see things like being overly aggressive in scrums, hitting a guy late into the boards, cross checking in retaliation, etc. In fact, they sort of are the opposite. Ek and Hartman are extremely smart in knowing how to push the limits of other players and draw those retaliation calls
