How about we list the bad changes to the regulations without a lot of discussion so it doesn't turn into something too big to read. Maybe hit like or angry if you agree that it is bad and love if you think it is good.

The one that jumps out at me is combining 322, 323, 324, 325, 326, 327 and 330 into one district, HD 322. It will go either sex mule deer, even though the eastern half is mostly public and and HD 324 is currently limited entry with over 1000 applicants for 25 permits.

Antelope hunting districts 321 and 330 will be combined with an either sex quota of 500. At this time the antelope either sex permits for 321/330 are
HD321: 225 permits with 1320 applicants (17%)
HD330: 500 permits with 1894 applicants (26%)

We can assume there will be about 3200 applicants for 500 tags which equates to 15.6% odds. If they increase the number of tags to increase the odds then the old HD 330 will become an even bigger sh*t show than it is now.

A similar issue exists for the Doe/fawn permits.

This one hurts. Interesting reading the reasoning for combining these units and getting rid of this permit but combining units for 312 and keeping the 312 permit. All those whitetails with CWD by Alder and lets not forget we need more opportunity in MT. But I'm sure there is a sound scientific reason they are doing this.

They're worried about CWD but according to this map they haven't had a positive mule deer since testing began in 2017, but we should kill them all just in case.

You’re acting like the biologist wants to do it….he doesnt.

Ok then why keep 312 but not 324? They're both combining multiple units into one.
Because 324 is being lumped in with a bunch of other units and the directive is that they don’t want different sub unit regulations….CWD is just the excuse.
