First speed goat hunt for my 7 yr old. We filled our tags with some does/ fawns. Pretty incredible experience shifting from chasing a big buck to hunting with your kiddo and excited for getting anything. He is already asking about going next year so I’ll take that as a win!

Got some meat in the freezer this past weekend, and this happy boy took this leg for a long adventure trying to find a place to bury it.

My son got it done this last weekend. It was a balmy 17° with the wind when we left the truck and we started the day out with him missing a shot which was frustrating, but we rallied and got onto this buck in the afternoon and he made a great shot at 371 yards. I was way more excited than he was, and it is really satisfying to see him grow as a hunter over the last few years.
That is 3 for 3 on antelope tags. I spent yesterday cutting and packaging and getting the freezer loaded up. Good times for sure.
