I am in Salt Lake until Sunday, I am trying to find something to do tomorrow while all my friends go skiing. I was thinking about taking a drive out to Antelope Island to try and view some wildlife. I have my binoculars but that's about it hunting wise so I'd probably stay in the truck for the most part. Is it open and do you guys think this would be a fun way to kill sometime ?

Thanks in advance

I live about 20-25 minutes from the Island, it is a unique place with a good variety of wildlife veiwing opportunities. From SLC you are a solid 50 minute drive to get out to the Island itself. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to go out there if you have the time. You should have plenty to look at staying in your car.

If you are a little more pressed for time, Deer and Elk can be found all along the Wasatch Front this time of year (Especially considering the cold and snow that we've been dealing with). Try driving up Parley's Canyon and get off one of the exits/pull outs, You should be able to spot stuff by doing that as well.
