Another Bear Incident

Beattie Gulch seems to be quite the place. There have been a few attacks there in recent years too.

What I don't understand is how the bears got to the elk before the hunter. I wonder if he left it for a while because it was wounded or what?

Rifle shots are dinner bells in that country. I've had it happen to me. Had a large boar beat me to a raghorn I killed with one shot at 100 yards.

Makes you wonder how many you don't see in a day's hunting, huh?

I guess that is one advantage to using a bow...no "dinner bell"
