Am I screwed? Computer problem question.

Well, been playing around without a rubber (virus protection) for awhile and am now having computer problems (assume it is a virus anyway).

When I go on-line, I am sending as much information as I am receiving and it is really slowing down everything (hell, it was slow enough to start with).

Even when there is no activity (surfing) I am constantly sending and receiving info after pages are loaded. Also, my default home page erases everytime I log on.

Yeh, I know I screwed up. Anyone have any advise, or is it time to head to the computer shop for a shot of penacillen (sp).

I dont know if its a virus but I'm having the same problems. Damn, it makes me mad.

I tried re-installing ME and all the disks that came with the PC, but its still the same.

dont head to a repair shop. waste of money and time.

more than likely you got a virus or a spybot taking your info.

run it and get rid of the crap that websites put on your pc.
