In the last 3 1/2 weeks we have feed out 2 ton of horse grain and 15 barrels of donuts.
put up 30 tree stands and loged 4,500 miles on my truck.40 baits all being hit hard most with numerous bears. All we need now is the hunters and a sharp knife :D :D

Good luck Tobey.Make sure you leave some for the poor dog hunters(ie.me!!). I have 3 out of 4 baits hitting regular down here now. That is pretty good for down this way.If you run short on donuts I may be able to help you out a little.

Man Tobey,
Sounds like your ready to kill some bear :D :D Good luck, hope you do well this year...sounds like things are real promising. Keep us informed, so we can all be envius...lol

Seems these bears are pretty active this year.I'm going to be hunting with Ben Pinkham at Sunset Ridge outfitters at Sebec Lake in Maine next week.I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!.
I talked to him this past weekend and he said they have bears all over the place. He thinks by Monday night we should have had a very good chance at taking a few.
Good luck to all and happy hunting.

Mike

Well fellers,I've only got 1 bait out.So far,I've fed out 2 bags of horsegrain,18 or so gals of grease, and 2 1/2 gals of raspberrie jam.Got escorted off the bait twice already, once by a big mama and her yerlin cub,and once by a very large boar that stomped his front feet and woofed at me an convinced me that even tho my name is on the tag hangin there,it belonged to him at that moment. Was hopin to just run hounds off it,but my best hound WILL NOT take a beartrack off it.I never realized I'd have a possibly strait hound.LOL LOL My blue ***** is in heat, and Terra likes to hang on the tailgate with me.LOL My 11 yr old son wants to shoot him a bear,so I guess we'll be sittin there mon mornin and nite.Take care and happy huntin.
