We are flying to Alaska to fish(my wife and I). We arrive in ANC on the morning of the 3rd of Sept. and rent a car.
We wish to stay in a cabin and fish (guided) for silvers 1 day and halibut 1 day.
We plan on 5 or 6 nights. Probably Soldotna area. Any Ideas?

Nick,
Early Sept is a good time to fish silvers. I assume you intend to fish the Kenai. I would recommend, especially if you're a flyfisherman, take a guided trip down the upper Kenai for rainbows which grow in excess of 30 inches and 10 pounds. For silvers at that time you don't really need a guide. Bank fishing for them is pretty good at many road accessible streams. If you don't mind a trip-within-a-trip I would fly to Kodiak, (or take the ferry) rent a car and fish the Olds and American rivers.

Pick up a copy of the Complete Guide to Alaska Fishing by Limeres & Pedersen. Indispensible for the first-timer--good luck
