Afternoon snows

We are packing up today. Hunted the past 6 days. Migration is way behind in the North east. No Lesser Canadas, no divers, snows just arriving. Did fine with big Canadas, mallards and a few Pintails. Ross’s geese provided some action… always willing to decoy. Tough waterfowling weather - 70-80F, clear, no wind. Always great to visit with old friends and relatives !!!

You watch were gonna go from summer straight into winter. 👎
 
So what yall are saying is the migration is gonna bypass your region and head straight to Florida. Assignment understood.
 
I was in Northeast Saskatchewan the last couple weeks of September. Been hunting there since early 90’s. Migration seemed to be at least 2 weeks behind normal. Snows just beginning to arrive. No Lesser Canadas. No diving ducks. Enough “ local” Canadas and puddle ducks for some good mornings. Just not the huge numbers that I have enjoyed in the past. Farmers were very happy with the weather and progress on harvest !!!
