The thread about hunting caribou as a Premium hunt made me think back to a thought I had this fall. I think we all have our "Sweet Spots" in the level of adventure we seek in our hunting experiences. Some people have a higher threshold than others. Within a hunting group it is important that every one be compatible on the level of adventure they are going to experience or "you're not gonna have a good time"

Alaska float hunt and fishing. My favorite trips. I can never overstate how difficult it can be when folks want to do it. Its Alaska, its remote, you can die and best case scenario it sucks for a few days. But that's what makes it a great trip. Things go wrong. You have to be on your toes and think through things. You are tuned in. You learn how to hear the little things that are cause for concern before you see them. Like rushing water. It could be falls, it could be a sweeper or a strainer. It could simply be a small creek pouring into your larger creek. In any case I have never felt so alive. You adapt to everything with a good attitude and and enjoy it. If your idea of a good time is being wet a few days, hot a few days and freezing a few days this isnt for you. If you cant camp without a cot this isnt for you. Everyone can do it. Just a matter of being willing to because once you start there is not going back.

A) I think Boat could be split. I don't do many boat transports. But I do plenty of raft into destinations. And this can be extreme depending on water level and the way ice out left the river. It definitely has its pucker factor. Horses way more relaxing. The variable being the horse.

B) Sat works

C) 100% apex predators. Attacks are rare. Killing of Apex predators common

D) Backpack tent

E) Raft and foot. Since portages can be common I am not sure the correct answer

F) Raft. Unload every stop and hang

G)100% DIY

H) Weather definitely affects ability to access and egress could be 5 if flooding occurs

I) Rescue is via helicopter only

J) Because of my preferred mode of travel water is plentiful. So are beavers. Treatment required
