I always also feel these other groups need to pay into a Pittman Robertson fee assessment type deal instead of riding hunter/fishermens backs and then taking over.
You know bird watching lic. ,what good for the goose and all....

One of the biggest hurdles to making that a reality comes from the hunting community and hunting organizations.

There is a "fear" that if the bird watchers, hikers, etc. start to pay "their share", that they will then have a seat at the table in regard to wildlife management, etc.

The most resistance I've personally seen has not come from the groups being asked to pay.
