A theoretical question.

Say a person had only $500 to spend on a set of binoculars. What would you recommend in that price range? Looking at Steiner Predator, Leupold BX-4, Zeiss Terra, Viper HD, etc. Any experience with Steiner? I've been leaning toward them but have no experience with them.

Leupold or Vortex, both have great glass, and neither will give you any regret.

I’m no optics specialist, just a regular dude. I’ve got the BX4 and I’m real happy.

Steiner is great. Plenty of light. Supper tough. But a bit on the heavy side.
