While working today, I got to go to a small farm that borders a town of 100,000 i met the man who farmed it back in the day, I think he was around 80. While this area has more than doubled in the last 30 years , he has been there since the 50's farming and living when this town was below 20,000 . I asked him about Blacktail deer and if he hunted his property, he said it's been 2 years since he shot a deer . That's when he said to me go look at the barn , turned the corner to look , all I could do was smile !! He had his whole hunt history or most of it nailed to the barn wall . He told me all but 4 of the deer were Blacktails , which would make around 62 Blacktails on the wall , he told me he had 10 more mounted in the house. Not to mention the Roosevelt Elk horns on the wall as well. I really enjoyed that moment today to get to talk with another guy that hunted and worked hard and see his history out for all to enjoy. Took the pics with my cell there not great but better than nothing , hope you all enjoy . I know there is old family barns around our rural parts of the country that are like this , but they are rare to see where I live
