My wife and I live in E. Idaho and are very close to Wyoming. We are wanting to take advantage of the awesome opportunity Wyoming provides to hunt doe/fawn antelope for such a reasonable price.
Right now we are looking at units 88 and 89 . From looking at maps it looks as though there is a fair amount of public access at least in 89. Is this true?
Is there one unit that is better than the other???
Any info. is appreciated just wanting to know if chances are good; we are true meat hunters so we always look for opportunities that present a chance for great success.\

Thanks

Thanks! Is it that tough to draw doe tags? i have tried looking up the odds but i get an error message each time.

I believe you will have a good chance at doe tags. There used to be left overs after the draw, but they did cut the tag numbers back last year.

The stats are as follows for last year:

Unit 88-6 had 194 tags with 110 1st choice and 89 second choice applicants
Unit 89-6 had 179 tags with 224 " " " 71 " " "
Unit 89-7 had 72 tags with 10 " " " 19 " " "

Therefore, 88-6 and 89-7 have basically a 100% chance of drawing as a first choice, while 89-6 had an 80% chance at drawing a tag.
The Type 6 tags are good anywhere in those units. The type 7 tag in 89 is good only in the area south of hwy 351 and east of hwy 189.
