Bass pro has a really good deal on this gun.
IMG_9491.pngI’m not a big gun guy and only have a 30-06 and would like something different for elk and mule deer. Any opinions on this caliber? They also have in 7mm mag. Thanks.

I don’t own one, but 7MM PRC is very popular right now. A lot of guys are using them. I’m sure some folks on here can give you reviews.

I have been shooting a 7MM Mag since I was 13. I’ve killed elk and mule deer with it, in addition to whitetails and pronghorn. Lately I’ve been hunting with something smaller, mainly to carry a lighter rifle. My last 3 bulls have been killed with a .280 and 30-06.

I like 7mm projectile cartridges. The 7PRC iteration is my latest aquisition and the Seekins platform is capable. Heavy for 28 cals at circa 3000fps have served me well.

I've always been a 7mm guy and have owned a 7prc for about 3 years. It is easy to load for and shoots really well. My wife can shoot it but doesn't like it as much as the 280ai. That being said the 280ai sees more trigger time and since she always draws more tags than me gets more time in the woods.

That's a pretty fantastic deal. I have a savage 110 in 7mm mag that shoots lights out. I also have a 7PRC in a Howa 1500 that I built. It's been my go to for most rifle hunts the last couple of years. Really enjoy it.
