Played the Nail Game in the Windsor hotel in Trout Lake BC while snowmobiling. This particular version was a drinking game and used a style of pick hammer and finish nails, was a riot!

Penn state football game tailgate 2003ish. Michigan fans taught us the stump game. They rolled a stump into our tailgate and you guys look fun wanna play stump. What the hell is stump? Lets do it! Great game.

We did that when I was a kid in our neighborhood. The older kids organized events in the summer, ring toss , Jarts , like a local fair .

I used to keep my son pretty busy out in the garage when he was little pounding nails into a big 4x4 or 6x6.
Kept him occupied while I was working on something.

Oh this brings back memories of my daughters first serious boyfriend in college. They were driving home for Thanksgiving 2 HRS from his parents home and he blew a tire on his lifted Toyota pickup. He called dad to come change it, and he freakin did.

If that was my son he'd be walking his home. 22 year old doesn't know how to change tire. I actually blame the dad even more.
I grew up with no phones. I couldn't call and If i did my dad would have hung up on me.

My daughter knows how to change it but she couldn't because it had 37" tires on it. Too heavy.

Needless to say they are not together anymore.

My grandfather would have handed me a bucket of used nails and instead of pounding them in to wood, I would have been using the hammer to straighten them.

Yep, remember 5 gallon buckets of bent nails, smashed fingertips went along with that chore!

Great activity for bored boys!!! My grandfather was a cobbler and would look after my brother and I when school was closed or during the summer. He would send us to his shop's basement to explore and nail what must've amounted to thousands of nails over time. I can still smell the glue and leather!!!
