Good luck. You gotta know those Toms aren't
1/2 as smart as those burly bears.
Go blast some feathers pal, and bring back
some good pics. This is a good warm up for
your monster bear hunt!
We got in the Field just at Daylight.. OK MAybe a little past daylight and passed 1-2 THOUSAND trucks Along the WAY.. well 2 trucks were parked in the Spot we wanted to be at so We just drove up the Road a ways. We parked and Started Heading up the hill.
Finally we heard a Gobble after we did some calling. Well we closed the gap and Set up real quick. I told Wylee to Set up and I was 100% sure he was going to get one.. I backed up behind him and Did some calling. It sure Sounded like he was Coming in...... THEN.. NOTHING... No More Gobbles, Not more Nothing. We did hear a shot behind us followed by like 3 more... Then LAter on one shot dollowed by like 5-6 more. I don't know Much avbout Turkeys.. But How many Chances do they give ya
Anyways... We headed Down the Valley and Set up again. We had one goggling across the way. After about 15 mins or so a Archerer Walked right into Our set up... So I guess We called in a turkey after all heh ?~?~? *WINK* Well, We tried again with no Avail. As We headed dpwn the Hill we hit thier Campground. He probably thought He had the Whole Mountain to Himself... But We had walked in a LONG way And cut back this Ridge and Ended up there I guess..... OOPS
After that We headed to our New Baiting site....BEAR My real passion!!!
