3D printed items for outdoors?

My brother got a basic 3D printer. He's offered to print me a few things for Christmas instead of buying junk.

As someone with basically everything, what would you recommend that I ask for?

I recently bought a 3d printed skull hanger for a whitetail deer euro mount. It seems perfect for that. Sturdy, lightweight, and inexpensive.

So my Boy has a really nice printer. It was a commercial unit that was life cycled out of production when a new model came out. It only had a couple hundred hours on it and is way more capable than he is.

A few things

It takes a long time to learn the intricacies of 3d printing to get a quality product. No one who just got one is going to make anything worthwhile without a lot of failed attempts.

Secondly, unless they are fluent in CAD/CAM and bought software, they are only making shared files. There are some basic free apps to design things but they are very hard to use.

There is a lot of neat shared files but virtually none of it is hunting related.

The one thing he has made that is useful in the hunting / reloading world is a spent primer catcher. The RCBS Rockchucker’s OG one is a bad design, there is a shared file for an improved version. It works very well.

Are you an archery guy? A bow hook would be great.

I wouldn’t hang anything of value from a 3d printed hook. We can make one from the cheapest Amazon plastic to a high end plastic and they would look similar. But the temp stability and weight holding capacity is significantly different. The cost to use the high end plastic is significantly more than just buying the rubber dipped steel ones from the hardware store.

A couple things I've made with my 3d printer:

Arca adapter for my spotting scope so I could use one base for my spotter and window mount
Arrow squaring tool (works surprisingly well)
Jig for cutting arrows to length. It mounts on my my cheap harbor freight pipe saw and has a slot that allows me to change the length and lock it down.

Like addicting said, I'd imagine you could make a lot of reloading related items like bullet treys and other handy fixturing.

Someone on here had a pretty good Digi scoping design that looked similar to the magview.

I've found the time it takes to design and get the print dialed in is hardly ever worth it compared to just buying it. I do use it for designing new parts and prototyping things for customers.

If I use it around the house it's usually for some specialty part I need that would take less than a couple minutes to design and saves me a little money and a trip to the hardware store.

Has anyone ever tired making a "Big Eyes" rig to set up two spotters to work like huge binos? The CNC ones are crazy expensive, 3d printed feels like a perfect solution.
