I have a Howa HS Precision in .308 Winchester with a 22-inch barrel. Not sure on the twist. I took a trip to the range today to experiment with some different factory rounds while dialing in the rifle with my new DA nomad ti suppressor.

Shooting off the tailgate with sandbags at 100 yards I was able to achieve these groups (best group out of 2-3 sets):
Federal 150 grain Power Shok .087 MOA
Federal Premium 180 grain Partition 1.0 MOA
Nosler 165 grain Ballistic Tips 1.5 MOA

I was rooting for the ballistic tips to be the winner so I could bounce between them and Accubonds. Alas, the Howa had other plans.

This is a do it all antelope, deer, elk rifle. I would like to experiment with some other factory ammo that would be reliable up to elk sized critters out to 400 yards. What are your go-to factory offerings that y’all have had success with?

I like the federal 165 gr trophy bonded tip, also had good accuracy with the Barnes 168 gr tipped.
I’ve never had good luck with Nosler.

Federal's Trophy Bonded Tip & Fusion in 165 grain versions are very accurate and what I have used.
Thanks. That's +2 for the bonded tip. I have used the Fusions in my 270 win on a whitetail at about 100 yards. DRT. I usually buy my single boxes at the local Sportsman's Warehouse and buy a 200 round case wherever is cheapest (usually GB) once I settle on a round. Sadly, Sportsman's currently does not have the 165 Fusion or 165 Partition. The 165 Trophy Bonded Tip is in the shopping cart. The local store appears to have the 165gr Swift Scirocco II in stock so I may give them a try as well.

I'll add another vote for the 165 gr trophy bonded tip. I have taken both deer and elk with these. My 308 also really likes the 175-gr terminal ascent. Both have been very consistent and accurate.
