What grain are you guys using for a .270 for elk. thanks elkay

130 - Hornady Light Magnums.

My wife shoots the Hornady Custom 140gr. SST. Did a good job on her elk?

150 gr. Nosler Partitions and 140 gr. Trophy Bond Bearclaws have worked very good on elk for me.

I like the 140 grain Barnes TSX. But 130's and 150's would be just as good, as long as they're Barnes.

140 gr. Hornady Light Mags. Been lucky, one shot every time. In fact never had to take more than one shot with that round. Although, never got to pull the trigger on any elk like critters this year......I'm not bitter.....
