I got home from work about 2:30 this afternoon and there’s 5 SxSs in my yard. That can only mean one thing. Copious amounts of Busch light and a lot of deer are about to be hung on the buck pole! We got 6” of snow earlier in the week and there’s 2-4” expected between tonight and tomorrow, that should make for good tracking.

If you’ve never followed my deer hunting thread before, I apologize in advance. We will be hunting a combination of public, family ground, and neighbors ground. We don’t have standards, but we won’t let you forget if you kill a forkie from the home herd. Each day we do about 3-4 drives with as many as 24 hunters over the weekend. If you have questions on what we do or hunting in Iowa, fire away, I’ll be happy to answer to the best of my ability.

These drives must be rigorous. ^
I'd like to know the beforehand weight of participants, and the after.
I weighed 209.8 this morning. I’ll keep track but I’m guessing I’ll be gaining some weight.

I typically only am a driver on, a normal day I walk 6-7 miles. Maybe I’ll try and turn my tracker on and remember to shut it off afterwards to get an accurate mileage.

Im joking around. Sometimes its obvious, sometimes its not.
I told @Frequently Banned Troll he was an old $uck last night in a text.
The tone might have been vague.

It's about time. Been waiting for this thread.

Was a tougher than normal hunt just across the border this year but still managed to get a good one. Looking forward to seeing what you guys find!

It finally dawned on me late this morning that it was deer season here again. It started yesterday. Huh. Guess I don't miss it that much. Used to be my favorite holiday! Always had every day off from work set in January. 🤷‍♂️

Waiting for the pictures to begin.

What are the other guys going to drink ??

18 degrees and calm. Beautiful day in the woods. I made the climb to where I wait until I become a driver. We saw a real good buck on the climb in. I kicked up several deer that headed back to the other drivers too. The hills are pretty slippery with the snow.
