Anyone finding 22 ammo? I have not found any for sale arrond me in weeks

It's quite hit or miss around here. I got lucky and scored 3 bricks at WalMart a couple of months back, but that was the only time I've seen it there in the past year. If you REALLY want some, just keep an eye on online retailers and pay the shipping. Probably cheaper than driving around looking for it any way...

Subscribe to email alerts from the major online stores and you'll find it does come available from time to time. MidwayUSA had 325round boxes for $25 but only allowed 2 per purchase and shipping was in excess of $25. I think the going rate is 10-20 cents per round if you can find some.

I can get really close to reloading 223 for that price (using the last of my pre-Obama supplies I can beat that by about 3 cents per round)

A couple week? I haven't seen it on the self in over a year. Same with tinfoil.

The manufactures are making just as much as in the past, but people are buying it up and hording it, or trying to turn a buck. It will likely be a year or two before you see it on the shelf again.

There was a thread not long ago about this. Glad I don't shoot a 22 much, and am really glad I had a couple bricks on the shelf.

It was gone in less than 12 hours, with people lined up out the door, and started showing up at 4am... "on the shelf" to me is not requiring a camping permit, and a special alert message that the shipment came in.

Cabela's had a "shipment" as well for their opening week. The pallet lasted about 30 min after the doors opened, reloading powder made it 10 min.

Tinfoil is thicker in Alaska.

People are idiots. I'm going to have to start shooting grouse with a shotgun.

It's extending to 17 hmr now....shelves are bare of that around me now too....rediculous.

two local places here have it. One of them has an online store (E Arthur Brown...I think it is eabco.com). They do some custom gun work and have all kinds of accessories. They didnt have a ton of it, but last time I was there they had some on the shelves.

local Sportsmans is holding some back for when you purchase a new gun. A friend of mine bought a new little pink .22 for his daughter just so he could get a brick:eek:

I've found 600 rounds of 40 grain high velocity in the past 3 days. 10 cents per round. There were others for 11 cents per round, but the gun shop is restricting people to 200 rounds per day.

At least I have something to go to the range with.
