2026 NCAA Wrestling 🤼

I don’t know who, but I don’t think Levi walks away with it at 174. That’s my upset pick of the tournament. I could also see VanNess losing one at 149. No easy route for Iowa according to the seeds and brackets. I still see Caliendo get his revenge over Blaze and ultimately losing to Mitchell in the finals.

Penn State has 7 #1 seeds. If the O/u is 5.5 national champions for Penn State what would you take?

I’m no gambler, but if I had to pick, I have Messenbrink, Barr, and PJ Duke as going thr distance. They’ve got a good chance at 125, 133, and 174 but those classes are stacked. 149, 187, they have a chance, but I see weakness in those 2 weights for them

I agree with the exception of 174#. Levi is in the post season zone and I look for him to get it done this year.

Should be a fun one!

gotta love Ghadiali especially after beating Ferrari last weekend. Josh Barr is a beast and after watching the Big 12 finals I can't put Elam above him.

Cheers!

I agree, but last week against Minto, has to be one of the worst matches I’ve ever seen him wrestle going all the way back to when he was a freshman. I like Levi and hope he gets it done, but he’s going to have to do more than he did last week in the big10 finals to get it done

Barr was impressive at the Big Tens. It was a tough pick going with Elam.

Haines had a close match against Minto in the big ten finals and won on that penalty point but until someone even sniffs Haines legs I’ll go with Levi. And haines says he wants to go Dall sheep 🐑 hunting with a bow 🏹

if there is a sleeper with a chance at a huge upset, Sergio Vega over Jesse Mendez. That match if it happens will be 🔥

The top quarter bracket at 125 has like 5 past All Americans including the champion and the runner up who will meet in the quarters Friday morning.

I picked Forrest at 133 to win the title but it is hard for me to fathom a kid who was in high school 2 months ago can win it all. I haven’t seen that Larkin wrestle but the bottom side of the bracket has 4 that are capable of making a finals run, 2 that have.

Iowa has had a finalist for 35 straight years. Going by the seeds they don’t have one this year. Can Caliendo get to the finals again? Can Angelo Ferrari pull one out? Or maybe Ayala pull of the surprise? I think they get 1 to the finals.

This is going to be fun! 🤩

Hey Boyz! Let’s do this pick’em contest for D1 wrestling. Here’s how it works: You will pick the champions at each weight. Your best pick, the wrestler who you think is going to be a guaranteed champ, you assign 10 points. The second best pick, 9 points, then third and so on. If you pick every weight right (only champions) you would score 55 points. For example, I’m picking Messenbrink for my 10 point guy… I just don’t see anyone beating him.

The winner gets bragging rights. It’s pretty fun. I can put them on a spreadsheet and color them in when a wrestler loses. We used to do it on Intermat.

Also, you need to pick the team that wins and their tournament score. That will break a tie if there are any. So, basically you have to pick the closest team score for Penn St.
