Pulled the last of the watermelons this week. Only summer plants left are cherry tomatoes and peppers. Lettuce and spinach is in the ground, cabbage and broccoli going in this week too.

Pulled my watermelon a few days ago. Cantaloupe is close to being all pulled up. Have quite a few on the plant but don't think they'll get to ripen. Cold temps coming by weekend.
Everything else is in greenhouses and I pulled all the Amish Paste tomatoes and some of the peppers couple days back. When fall decided to come in it came with a rush. Seen a skiff of snow on the peaks twice now. It sure seemed like the summer rushed by fast. Of course all my wildflowers finally decided to come up and bloom. Took them all summer to mature.

Trying to find an appetite to eat everything. Time to dig into the canning books for some new ideas.

Frost last night finished it off. Was a good year lots of beets and carrots in the ground still. Picked many many beans this summer way less of them next year. Lots of tomatoes but not real big. Picked them all today and they are inside ripening now
