2026 Garden

1/4" of rain last night, first rain we've had in a while. Fingers crossed there's two more days with rain in the forecast for this week. Everything is doing well, I'll put my second planting of beans in this week. Lettuce is finally getting big enough to start eating on. 20260426_075511.jpg

First potato flower today. Finally cleared the onions out and planted the second batch of beans. Also got my new irrigation system put in finally. As always, cheating out last year cost me more in the long run. Should have just done this to begin with. View attachment 407192View attachment 407193
What is the composition of the soil that you use in those beds? Is it potting mix, just topsoil? They look great.

Onions did so so again. I think slightly better than I ever have with them. Small win on that.

Sweet corn may not go so well. Ill try them again in early fall where I will have more room to plant a block of them. Finally the ubiquitous harvest photo.

Tomatoes, cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli planted this weekend.

We’re a little behind in weeding and preparing the rows.

I’m waiting for the first neighbor to come ask me about the drought while looking at my garden.

We did get some onion bulbs and potatoes in the ground today. And our fall planted garlic is about a foot tall. My wife would love a greenhouse to get a head start on our short growing season. I'll have to make that happen for her one of these years.
