Is it just me, or is the pace of play in the nfl seem slower every year. Feels like a stoppage and commercial after every 3 plays…
We were talking about that last night.
Our son even came down from his room at halftime complaining about all the commercials.
It almost felt like we were watching more commercials than football.
It seems as though, at every stop, there’s a commercial.
Getting very tough to watch
I streamed the game on Peacock last night and in lieu of commercials the breaks were just aerial drone shots of stadiums NBC has visited during Sunday Night Football and yea it felt like I would watch 3-4 plays and then 3-5 minutes of stadium shots.
Maybe it's just the first game that they sold some more primetime commercial spots for or something. It was tough to keep it on. I went to bed before the game ended.

I'm pretty excited to head back to Brookings to see my Jackrabbits play on Saturday evening for the first time in many moons. First college football game for the boys (6 and 3). They're excited.
Should be a beautiful evening in Eastern SD. Gametime temps around 70 and clear skies. Even talked the grandparents into coming to help entertain the kids so ma and I can delete some beers and eat some grub at the tailgate.

Looking over the schedule not a lot jumps off the page , mostly mismatches with a few notable games
OSU vs Texas game of the day …. Both teams are pretty evenly matched. I wouldn’t consider a win or a loss and upset either way.
Alabama vs Kentucky , Kentucky has a new head coach. Interesting to see how close Kentucky can hang with Alabama.
Memphis vs Boise , might be the most interesting game other than Ohio State, Texas, because of the group of six playoff spot on the line
Iowa vs Iowa State, usually a good game, I would consider an upset if Iowa doesn’t win, considering they’re at home
Mississippi State at Minnesota, SEC versus Big Ten, bragging rights on the line
Oklahoma at Michigan , the majority of the country wants to see Michigan get beat down and destroyed after stealing the game from Central Michigan
There’s a few other power four games, but nothing of interest to me personally , some of the other power 4 matchups after each teams only played one game. I’m like I have no idea who’s better

I think it could happen. Kentucky could beat Alabama, too.
I'm pretty sure Vols beat Georgia Tech by a lot. I almost feel sorry for Georgia Tech to lose at home two weeks in a row.
We don't have a huge sample size yet. It's pretty easy to predict the blowouts like what Miami is doing to Florida A&M. 70-0 in the third and they are cutting the 4th quarter to 10 minutes.
It's possible there will be weather that makes an impact.

I'd be more confident had the Longhorns o-line & run game dominated last week. 100,000 vociferous imbibing rowdies, at night, at DKR won't help Sayin. Should be a hell of a game.

Ya , listening to some pregame stuff I think Ok State has 20 something transfers from North Texas when their coach came overKind of looks like North Texas State.
If Oklahoma State only scored 10 on the road against Tulsa, I have a hard time seeing them hanging in this game, and then I heard that Oklahoma States starting right guard or something went out in the 1st half last week and then after that they didn’t move the ball and their quarterback ran for his life the whole game, sounds like it could be a long day for the Pokes tomorrow morning
