Go DAWGS!!! I did NOT see that coming, and it would have been a shutout if it hadn’t been for #15 granting life TWICE and 25yd to the tide offense in the fourth. That was a clinic. No idea why they are #3 instead of #2 when they have the same record, better SOS and SOR than the #2 team, and won their conference. But the opponents actually line up better in their seeding so oh well. I reckon it will all take care of itself on the field

Notre Dame has gotten into the playoffs so many times when they shouldn’t have and gotten their ass handed to them every time. I’m glad to see them get left out for once. Go join a conference and play your way in like everyone else. Bunch of pansies.
BS. It’s the same argument for any team.

The last time they won a championship was 1988. They’ve been given several chances since then and haven’t won another one. They were 2-2 against top 25 teams this year. Only one of teams they beat finished in the top 25. They don’t deserve to be in this year.

Edited to add that ESPN lists their strength of schedule at #44.

Same could be said about last year and they beat 3 teams to make it to the CFP final. Including beating the holier than though SEC French Bulldogs.

I’d put money on the Irish beating JMU or Tulane no problem.

A valid argument for every team that didn’t make it is, ā€˜win more games’. Not sure why everyone takes such offense to it? ND fans should be upset with school leadership that they value the money they get from their NBC deal and being an independent over winning championships. It’s not the 80s anymore. You show up in the playoff picture from time to time (2018, 2020) and get your teeth handed to you. Get over yourselves.
Thank God Nebraska sucks bad enough they’re not even able to have the same lame argument.

Who wouldnt want to play in the 'Snoop Dog Bowl', or the 'Mayonnaise Bowl', or any other combination of Tampax, Credit Card Company, or Waffle House.... whatever the hell else they come up with crap bowl game this year?
Apparently, lots. It gives them extra time to practice, develop, more time to bond, time with their early enrollees, and fun for the fans.

One of the teams that I would like to see go winless every year. Entitled to everything.

I'd be satisfied with Ohio St winning every game they play in the regular season except lose to Michigan every year😁
I'll be rooting for Indiana to win it all this year.
Makes sense, Ohio State and Tom Brady are the only reasons TTUN has been relevant in my lifetime, with the exception of the recent years they stole signs to win their Natty.

How about the MSU player yelling at the coach. That was interesting.
I guess they made up. https://nbcmontana.com/sports/local...ment-on-postgame-situation-from-saturdays-win

The full statement reads as follows: "Espn Misconstrued a moment in our previous game, I was not smack talking the Yale players i actually was dapping up a former teammate of mine from Wisconsin. I want to sincerely apologize to my teammate and my coach for my actions. In the heat of the moment, I let my emotions get the best of me and reacted in a way that was unacceptable. Arguing the way I did was wrong, and I take full responsibility for it. Coach Vigen and I already talked, no one outside of this team understands our relationship and how much respect I have for him. I also understand that my reaction was seen by many, and I'm truly sorry for the example it set. I hold myself, my team, my coaches, and the game itself to a high standard, and I didn't reflect that in my behavior. I'm committed to learning from this moment, handling my emotions better, and showing the respect and professionalism that my teammate, my coach, and everyone watching deserves. Thank you for holding me accountable, I will be better moving forward. #GoCats"
