2022 Spring Bears

Hunted some absaroka wilderness Monday Tuesday and Wednesday morning. A lot more snow than I expected so we hunted a few miles closer to the truck than I had planned. Saw a sow Monday morning but screwed up. I was hustling too much and she heard me pop over the hump into the draw she walked into. Was on the run before I could spot her again and escaped into the timber. Her tracks were all over the face she walked across (I think, based off how they looked in the binos). But she never showed again. Also we thankfully did not bump into the grizz that made that track Monday morning. We took the pic on the way out today.B67AFFD9-4676-4BDC-85FA-2EEBA5C8AE0D.jpeg3A81D556-FE38-4A0A-B6ED-92B344155379.jpeg235E4E9F-98B0-44DC-9E95-48413F5F61F6.jpeg

Only black seen today(2100yards), couldnt get to him due to deep crusty snow even got SxS stuck and broke winch cable trying to move towards him. Added: highlight of day, i seen my first lynx! At first thought it was a small lion and i went for rifle then it turned seen ears and shorter tail, pretty cool!
