Here are some pics of my dad and I on our birthday trip to Alaska. His 60th, my 30th, we were born on the same day. We stayed in Soldotna and fished salmon/rainbows on the Kenai with 2 days of halibut. Here is dads largest silver, going to have a replica done some day.

Fly fished for rainbows and had an absolute blast, best day of fishing either of us has ever had. Largest fish was a weighed 9lbs with alot of 5-7 pounders. We both caught around 70 fish that day (that is not a fish story). Jake was easily the best guide I have ever used, he was awsome. http://www.jakezirkle.com/GuidevsFish.php

The halibut fishing was fun but alot of work. We ended up bringing home 5 coolers full of fish. If you have never been, go!

Was that kid in the back of the first photo your guide? That is Ryan Rosenbaum--good friend of mine. He is guiding stealhead out of Lewiston, Id. right now. Ryan is just like his dad--seems to catch fish when nobody else is. Kinda annoying, unless they are finshing with you :)
