I was thinking of getting a Timney replacement trigger, however, all I can find are the 3 position safety replacement triggers. Does that mean the 3 position fits in the 2 position trigger?

If you have an older Vanguard that doesn't have the slot for the bolt lock, you have to cut a tab off the 3 position Timney trigger. I did this for an old S&W 1500 (made by Howa) and it wasn't a big deal. 2 minutes with a dremel.

Thanks.

I have an older (2009) Vanguard chambered in .300 Wby that I replaced the factory 2 position trigger with a Timney 3 position trigger that just fit without any modifications. In over 50 years of hunting, that was my first 3 position trigger, and I've come to like it, especially for checking the fit of reloads prior to taking them hunting.
