I have been bow hunting only in for the last 5 years in my home state of Alabama. I've let a lot of bucks walk over the last 5 years and have only shot does with my bow. I had pictures of 2 nice bucks on my trail cam before the season opened last weekend. Last Saturday morning I was in the woods bright and early and saw 10 bucks including the one that I eventually shoot but could not seal the deal that morning. I go back that afternoon and see a few does early but none of the bucks that I had saw in the morning. At last shooting light the smaller of the 2 bucks that I had pictures of on my trial cam steps out into a small opening at 25yds. I was able to shoot him and he ran about 30 yards before he expired. Then, I go home and get my 2 girls to help me recover my first bow kill buck. Great day for me and the kids!
