I am wondering about using synthetic oil in my atv. It does not use the oil for the transmission like some models, it has a clutch and belt like on snowmobiles. it does have an oil cooler with a fan, which I hear running when I drive it on hot days. I use it primarily for hunting and ice fishing.
thanks,
John

I use synthetics in almost everything I can. There's no doubt that it runs cooler than conventional oil. All my mowers, trimmers and vehicles are using them. Most of the commercial zero turn mowers are now calling for synthetic oils to be used in the hydraulic pumps.
You can also extend your oil change intervals as well by using synthetics. I say go for it!
